Portable satellite dishes that can be packed away when not in use are one way to avoid advertising the costly contents of a ‘van to the wider world, but here’s an intriguing alternative.

The SatPlus Sat Chair may look like a simple piece of aluminium outdoor furniture, but it actually hides a satellite dish in its backrest that’s equivalent to a 60cm traditional design.

The dish is designed for use in buildings where tenancy regulations forbid an external satellite set-up, but where a discreet chair sat on a balcony wouldn’t attract any undue attention.

It’s perhaps not the most compact option when ‘van storage space is tight and the price is a little steep at £220, but it did set us thing about other ways in which a satellite dish could be disguised. Any suggestions..?
