If you’re on the market for a new tow car and have a Subaru in your sights, then you can now browse its range of 2012 models on an iPad.

The Japanese carmaker has launched five fee apps to show off its new WRX, Outback, Impreza, Forester and Legacy models, and each packs considerably more information that the usual printed brochure.

Each app has 360° vehicle views that show off each model and the paint colour can be changed at the touch of a button. Interior trim options can be previewed too, plus there are animations that explain the advantages of Subaru’s full-time 4WD and Boxer engines.

Interactive images are also used throughout and it’s even possible to see what the vehicle interior looks like in the dark with a day and night preview option.

Full specification lists for each model are also included, although these are only for US Subaru models. The apps can’t find nearby dealers in the UK either, so hopefully a future update will make each one more Anglocentric.
