 North Devon is the favourite destination of caravanners in the know. There are glorious stretches of craggy coastline between Ilfracombe and Lynton, and a number of clean, safe, golden beaches such as Woolacombe and Croyde. Inland you'll marvel at the rural landscape. To the west is Exmoor National Park with it's breathtaking moorland plateaux and deep, wooded valleys.
North Devon, and many of its caravan parks, is still open to caravanners despite the current 'foot and mouth' outbreak. We took off there for this month's Great Escapes, and have come up with seven themed days out, packed full of things you can see and do despite the current crisis.
