Set in land belonging to the Queen's Sandringham Estate, this sprawling grass site is dotted with trees and surrounded by Sandringham Forest. Tents are sited among the caravans, which adds to the feeling of camping in the wild. On arrival, a warden will escort you as you choose a pitch; most are flat, and a few are slightly sloping. There are three sanitary buildings, and between them they offer both disabled facilities and parent-and-child rooms. Just off-site is a well-stocked convenience store. It's not far from Sandringham House, the Queen's Norfolk residence, and you can walk directly into Sandringham Forest. The site also holds a Gold David Bellamy Award.
