This is a large site that is
also beautifully maintained
and extremely well managed. The pitches, which are spread over six fields, are all spacious and level, and most are on grass and separated by thick, waist-high hedges for greater privacy. Of these, 88 are ‘multi-service' with
their own fresh and waste water points, as well as a TV point.
And ten are situated on hardstanding. The site's proximity to St Ives
(a bus service runs to St Ives from just outside the site in peak season) will make Polmanter very popular in summer, as will its fine views of the sea. The site's other big draw is its facilities, which include a large outdoor pool, tennis courts and a bar-restaurant.
If you're coming via the A30, the turning into the lane off the
B3311 is a little awkward, so be prepared to creep forward carefully. There is a large late-arrivals field just inside the entrance to the site; but there is no hook-up here.The site offers seasonal pitches
and some good off-peak deals.
