Practical Caravan TV is broadcast on Sky 212 and Freesat 161, on Showcase TV. Don’t have these channels? Don’t worry! You can also watch live online (a single, one-off charge of £2.99 applies). So, what do we have in store for you this week?

The six-berth super saver

First, our Group Editor Alastair Clements reviews the Caravelair Antarès 476. For a little over £14,000, this 1200kg tourer squeezes a lot in – including six berths, four of which are fixed. Could this be a great family starter van for those new to caravanning?

Inside and out are some unusual but carefully thought-out touches that make this a must-see van.

Layout-wise, you get a large fixed double bed at the front and a front nearside wetroom, then the kitchen with a dinette opposite, and fixed bunks across the rear.

It’s something a little different as well as a super, value-for-money van. Watch Practical Caravan TV this week and see it for yourself.

A tow car with a difference

Next, our Tow Car Editor David Motton puts the Subaru Levorg through its paces – what tow car ability does it have?

Well, it certainly makes for a very stable tow car. It’s only available with a 1.6-litre, turbocharged petrol engine and a CVT gearbox, which gives it a decent turn of speed, but is not great when it comes to economy.

However, the Levorg proved to be grippy and composed throughout our test. Tune in to find out if it’s a practical proposition, too.

Go large with Eriba

After the break, we review the Eriba Nova S 690. And before you think this is a dinky, silver-bodied van, think again – it’s huge!

Unsurprisingly, this twin-axle tourer is colossal inside. You get two generous lounges, a fixed double bed, a well-specced kitchen and even under-floor heating plus a heated sock drawer.

There’s tonnes of clever storage space inside and out – what’s the catch? Watch this week’s TV show to find out.

Then we’re off to a quiet corner of Dorset to take a look around the ecologically minded, adults-only, dog-friendly Back of Beyond campsite. It really is about getting back to basics and enjoying the natural environment here.

All 80 pitches are large, and many have electricity and water connections. There’s a washblock, a shop, a lakeside picnic area, a pitch-and-putt course and a dedicated place for dog-walking.

Finally, we’re testing the Peugeot 3008. Find out what tow car talent the 1.5-litre, 118bhp variant has as we hitch up and go for a drive.

See it yourself when you watch Practical Caravan TV between 27 March and 2 April 2017, on Sky 212, Freesat 161 and via our live stream.
