Top 100 - don't forget to vote
It's great to see how many of you have already logged onto our website at www.practicalcaravan.com to submit your vote in our Top 100 Parks awards.
If you haven't voted yet, look for your favourite park in the list of nominees starting on page 95. Then complete the coupon on page 98 and send it in to us. The list of nominees is also available on our website and you can submit your vote there, too. We'll keep the list of nominees on our website until voting closes on 10 December.
This month, I visited a Welsh park that has made the Top 100 a few years in succession, Tyddyn Du Touring Park. After scaling the peaks of Snowdonia National Park, it was great to retire to this relaxing site and take in the amazing sunset.
Our readers have been busy scouring the countryside for outstanding sites as well. This month we have reviews of parks in Dumfries and Galloway and Devon. To submit your review, and possibly bag £50, log onto www.caravansitefinder.co.uk.

Motorway services
I usually avoid stopping at service stations on motorways when I've got the caravan on the back.
But lately I've been logging plenty of miles so pulling in at motorway services has been necessary, revealing the good, the bad and the downright ugly.
I was pleasantly surprised by a Welcome Break services on the M40 near Oxford. The signs for caravans were clear and, instead of leaving me to fend for myself among the HGVs, I was directed to the rear of the car parking area where specific bays have been set out for caravans. They are drive-through bays as well, so no reversing is required, although they are quite narrow.
In comparison, at Chester Services at junction 14 of the M56, the signs directed me to the back of the car park then abruptly stopped. As there were no caravan bays set out, I could only park across car bays in the same way several other caravans had done. I'm still not sure where I was supposed to park.
We will all have had pleasant and miserable experiences at motorway services. So why not share yours with other Practical Caravan readers?
Email me at alyson.warnock@haymarket.com with your tips on where to stop, and which services to avoid.
