The difference between a good and a great caravan holiday is often down to the site that you stay on.
A touring park that is merely adequate will not have you rushing to revisit or recommending it to your friends. Find a really stunning site, however, and it turns an inexpensive weekend away into an inspirational break that you cannot wait to repeat.
Finding the right site can be a hit and miss affair and that is why we have turned to you, the experts. Last year, we asked you to tell us which caravan sites impressed you.
This year, we opened the voting earlier and adjusted the way that the votes were counted, to ensure that smaller sites, which deliver an exceptional holiday experience, have just as good a chance of winning as a larger park. |
The result is a lovely mix of site experiences. Small, remotes sites on the Scottish coast stand alongside busy family resorts around Cornwall.
Some sites are in national parks with great walking paths on the doorstep, others are hidden away in quiet countryside, while one is next door to a family theme park.
To reflect this variety, we have added some extra awards. As well as regional winners, we have awards for the sites which are best for those with pets or family groups, those which are open all year, the best small site and the best adult-only park.
Add to that our highlights of each region, and we are confident that Top 100 Parks 2009 will help you to get the most out of your holiday. I hope to see you on site.
