Often it’s the little things on a site that you remember, the details that bring everything together. This is what makes Bath Chew Valley stand out as a brilliant park.
There is a communal herb garden, a computer with free internet access and printing, tourist information brochures and a book library. These details give the site a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. Everyone is happy to have a chat, the staff included, and Tiger, the resident cat, is as likely to make himself at home in a pool of sunshine in your van as by the heater in reception.
The site also has excellent facilities. Rather than a large washblock, owner Keith Betton has installed a row of private washrooms. Each one has a shower, toilet, basin and mirror.
And they are all heated for comfort in the cooler months. More are being built to increase the ratio to a washroom for every four pitches. Alongside the washrooms are a utility room with dishwashing sinks
and a launderette.
Bath Chew Valley’s list of accolades also includes our award for Best Adults-Only Site. Visitors loved the site's atmosphere, facilities and the attention to detail that made their stay that bit more comfortable. (Full report in the April 2009 issue of Practical Caravan |
