Tip-recommended Parks for Spring are Kiln Park, near Tenby and Perran Sands on the north Cornish coast. Kiln Park is within the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, with some glorious walks. The National Park Rangers offer guided rambles from the park. Its rambling weekends are 2 and 16 May. Perran Sands opens directly onto
a wonderful sandy beach.
A Haven’s Park Ranger will
introduce you to the magnificent north Cornish coastline with some splendid walks. Perran’s mid-week hikes start 20 and 22 May.
• Sports mad? Greenacres, in North Wales, is perfect for those who love outdoor
pursuits. Book for the weekend of 16 May for a short break featuring a whole range of sports, including football, bowls and basketball.
• Are your kids Harry Potter potty?
If so, they’ll love the Witches and Wizard break during the Easter
holidays at Haggerston Castle, in Northumberland. There’s lots of spooky fun and they can visit Alnwick Castle, movie setting for Hogwarts.
• Dotty about dinosaurs? Head for one of Britain’s Jurassic Coasts – stay at Reighton Sands, in North Yorkshire, or Littlesea, in Dorset, on 3 or 9 May. Learn about dinosaurs on a Jurassic Rock Park weekend, which includes
fossil-hunting and monster fancy dress.
