[tl:gallery size=470×351]IT’S A LITTLE FAR to go if you fancy a break from the winter weather, but Australia does look like great caravan country for the people who live there, at least if this Channel 9 news report is anything to go by.

 

The report (it looks more like a crafty advert to us) featured on a recent episode of the ACA current affairs programme and looks at a new breed of ‘super’ caravan and camping sites that include facilities usually found at five-star holiday resorts.

 

Luxury at low prices

The sites are springing up all over Australia and, swimming pools, shops, massage parlours and extensive kids’ activities aside, much of the appeal is the low price for pitching up in a caravan.

 

The report reckons that a seven-day stay for a caravan costs AUS$800, or about £500. That sounds pretty steep to use, even considering the plush facilities, but you can judge for yourself from the video clip:
