Is this the smallest caravan combo ever?

Downsizing when you can’t afford to run a full-size caravan and suitable tow car is one thing, but one contributor to the US Smart Car forum has taken the idea to extreme. A couple of photos posted at the weekend show just the most compact camping combo we’ve ever seen — a two-seater Swatch Smart Car and a teardrop van that looks barely big enough for one person.

The unnamed van apparently weighs a mere 190kg and the owner reckons it’s good for trips of up to two weeks. They’re UK-based too, so there’s a chance you may have seen this unusual setup on the road…
