Many campsites have laundry facilities of some description, but what if you need to wash some clothes when you’re pitched at one that doesn’t?

The Scrubba Wash Bag is one option. Weighing just 145g and not much larger than a soft drink can when rolled up, it consists of a waterproof nylon bag designed to wash clothes placed in side it.

The bag contains a flexible plastic ‘washboard’ and, once filled with water and some detergent, it can be sealed, the air squeezed out through a valve, and then kneaded for about one minute to wash the clothes.

The Scrubba Wash Bag doesn’t exist just yet and the inventor is currently trying to raise funds online to finance its manufacturer. That said, his AUS $2,500 is already at $8,5000, so it looks like the AUS $30 (around £20) gadget will be ready to ship in April, as planned.
