Years ago 20 + I looked at the breakdown covers available. To this day I can say honestly the two clubs breakdown schemes offer so much more than the main stream . Read the small print and you will see why ;)
BTW. How's the extension issue B)

DD are you saying CMHC's Mayday service is not as good as C&CC Arrival ?

( will let you know about extension progress when I get some!!!, will email you)

We are members of both but you do need to use the caravan a fair bit to justify it. We need the CAMH as we use their site to store the caravan and only they have sites near to our relatives. Their breakdown cover is also cheaper but on its own would not justify joining.

When we realised our AA cover was inadequate and started looking round it seemed there were there 3 options recommended ADAC, Arrival and Mayday. Gave up on ADAC couldn't get replies to our emails, Looked at Arrival as we where already with the C&CC and it was over £200 for the cover we wanted. So then looked at Mayday and although the cover is not quite as good as Arrival, it was coming out at 2/3 nights away cheaper than Arrival with C&MH membership, so for us it was worth it just for the breakdown cover, the bonus being access to the CLs. And we got a £20 M&S voucher

I think from distant memory, Green Flag normal had a length limit just short of our van whereas Mayday through the club didn't. I may of course be getting confused.

Kev -- think you'll find that although Green Flag provide the service, there are restrictions on the Green Flag base compared to the CMC Mayday policy.

Thanks chaps. Green flag web site states 7.0m in length, that's why I never went with them before. Then contacted them and asked if that was body or shipping, duly came back as body!!! My body is 6.8m with extra long A frame. Then asked if I had to be a member of the cmhc of which they replied no. So think im on a winner.
