In my opinion an essential caravan spare to take with you is an external water pump.

If it fails you have no running water, no hot water no shower. OK if you know of a nearby dealer/supplier you can eventually get a replacement. If abroad and you have insurance you can eventually get a replacement, but think of the delay!

Carry a replacement and your holiday can peacefully continue, - but don't forget to get another pump at leisure when you get home.
