Hillside Caravan Park took the accolade of being named our Regional Winner for the North East of England in our Top 100 Sites Guide 2025.
The family-run site is beautifully maintained and sits between the North York Moors National Park and the Yorkshire Dales National Park, providing spectacular views of the Hambleton Hills.

The nine-acre site ensures canine touring companions are made to feel welcome, with acres of dog walks and a purpose-built dog wash and drying facility provided.
There is a range of accommodation types to choose from too. Touring pitches include extra-large options – these spacious pitches offer electric hook-up, fresh water connections, waste drainage and TV points.

Seasonal pitches are available too, while Hillside also provides a pitch and store option. This sees the site store the tourer when it’s not in use before moving it back onto the pitch in time for when the owner next stays in it.
Hillside also offers self-catering holiday cottages which can sleep five, glamping mega pods that sleep four (some of which are dog-friendly), and deluxe mega pods which can sleep five. Owner-occupied holiday lodges are also on-site.
The site’s excellent facilities include a luxury heated amenity block with accessible washrooms, a coffee lounge with free Wi-Fi, and a large play area.

The family-run site doesn’t stand still either, constantly working on improving the experience for its guests. Plans are in place to expand the onsite shop so more local produce from nearby businesses will be available. The site will also host food events, which will include Greek food, fish and chips, and pizza vans from local food vendors.

“A lovely campsite, situated in an excellent position with fabulous views of the Moors. We loved it so much, we left our caravan there in storage, so that we can now visit regularly. Lots of pitches and lodges, but still manages to feel very quiet. Thoroughly recommend – oh and the staff are soooo helpful and friendly!”
“The second time here, all the way from Switzerland. Definitely one of the best campsites we have ever visited! Super large plots, clean and warm facilities, friendly hosts. The countryside is breathtaking, hours and hours of hiking possible. We will definitely come back!”
“Wonderful experience from the beginning. Friendly staff and great communication. Beautiful site with great facilities and gorgeous views.”
