2013 new models: Lunar Ariva/Quasar

Price range: £13,995-£16,995

Lunar’s entry-level range has been modernised from front to back for 2013, with new one-piece aluminium sidewalls, larger front windows and a new rear pane transplanted from last season’s Clubman range.

Two of the line-up’s four-berth models, the 464 and 494, have been replaced for 2013. Both with end washrooms, the 524 also features an offside dinette and the 554 is a take on the increasingly popular twin-single-beds layout.

A minor tweak has been made to the six-berth 546, replacing the triple fixed bunks with doubles and putting a Pullman bunk over the nearside dinette instead.

All models receive stylish new Pamplona upholstery, warm chestnut-and-chrome lockers and refreshed exterior graphics. The Truma dual-fuel space and water heater is fitted across the range, removing the ‘fire front’ of the S-series heater, which in turn frees up additional storage space.

Competitors to Lunar Ariva/Quasar in the mid-market are Bailey Olympus II, Elddis Avanté, Sterling Eccles Sport and Swift Challenger Sport.
