If you are looking for a new caravan for the new year, let Practical Caravan help by revealing some of the best caravan deals around right now

Buy a caravan in the January sales! If you're thinking about getting a caravan in 2014, now's a great time of year to look for a new or pre-owned caravan and track down a bargain.

Where to find a new caravan bargain

Caravan dealers need to clear the last of 2013's new caravans off their forecourts soon, because the manufacturers are busy producing 2014 models. Many new models for 2014 were launched in mid-October and there will be new models on offer at the caravan shows in Manchester's Event City and Birmingham's NEC in January and February.

Lowdhams Caravans and Motorhomes

Lowdhams won Gold and Silver Awards in our Practical Caravan Owner Satisfaction Survey last year for its sales of used and new caravans. This excellent dealership has forecourts in Nottingham and Huddersfield, showcasing new and used caravans and motorhomes. There's an end-of-season caravan clearance sale on now so you can save a packet on a new caravan at the moment. There's also 15 per cent off caravan covers.

If you fancy heading off into the blue yonder in a brand new 2013 four-berth Adria Altea 432PX, it's down from £11,985 to £11,485 at Lowdhams. There's an even bigger saving on a new 2013 six-berth Bailey Ancona, down from £18,060 to £15,990.

Browse their caravan offers on the Lowdhams website and arrange to view caravans in person by booking online.

Marquis Caravans & Motorhomes

Marquis' January sale of used caravans includes a 2002 four-berth Abbey Archway Royale 52 reduced from £6,995 to £5,995. For something newer, how about a 2010 four-berth Lexon EB reduced from £11,995 to £10,745?

Marquis also has brand new 2013 caravans at bargain prices such as a four-berth 2013 Coachman Amara 560/4 down from £19,040 to £16,295. That's a saving of £2,745. If the Amara is too big for you, how about a 2013 two-berth Elddis Majestic 302, down from £12,995 to £11,995? Worth a look!

Part of Auto-Sleepers, Marquis Motorhomes & Caravans has 11 sales showrooms across the country. It's also offering 20 per cent off that essential winter habitation safety check on your existing caravan. Marquis is offering a three-year CaraMarq guarantee on caravan sales.

Towsure has special offers on accessories

"Save up to 67 per cent" is the headline on Towsure's winter sale page. Towsure sells motorhome and outdoor accessories, portable satellite TV dishes, motoring supplies, outdoor clothing, waterproofs, watersports equipment, bicycles and more. Order online or visit one of the Towsure Superstores in Sheffield, Birmingham or Southampton. Or see them at outdoor shows and camping exhibitions.

Show deals can save you cash

Why not head to one of the major camping shows that are coming up fast? You'll often find that there are great 'show deals' to be had on a new caravan if you order it at a show, after comparing the best price available from several stands.

The Caravan & Motorhome Show in Manchester

The Manchester show runs at EventCity from 23-26 January 2014 and promises to be a lively one. Read all about it in our article: Joining us at the 2014 Manchester Caravan & Motorhome Show?  Don’t forget to visit us! Practical Caravan will be at stand 2-1. Also, for the first time, our Owner Satisfaction Survey awards ceremony is open to the public and we’d love to see you there. Follow the signs and join in from 3pm on Thursday 23 January 2014, the opening day of the show. This will give you a good idea about our readers' favourite caravans and the people who make them.

Practical Caravan readers can buy tickets for only £7.00 on The Caravan & Motorhome Show website by quoting ‘HAY21’.

Caravan & Camping Show 2014

Head to Birmingham's NEC from 18-23 February to see a huge number of caravans, tents, trailer tents, folding campers, motorhomes, holiday homes and lodges, campsites and holiday hot-spots at this vast annual outdoor show. All the major caravan manufacturers and their top dealers will be represented at the Caravan & Camping Show 2014 and you'll have a chance to step inside the touring caravans and ask as many questions as you like. Often this show coincides with school half-term (depending on where you live) and it makes a good day out for families. Tickets cost £8 per adult, including a free show guide.
