MIDLANDS-BASED KIMBERLEY Caravans is to open a new branch in Darlington, after purchasing a former Discover Leisure site and retail premises.

Discover went into administration in October 2011; its Darlington Branch was one of five locations to close. Kimberley is planning to reopen the seven-acre site, which is located close to junction 58 of the A1, on February 23.

The expansion represents the first multi-site venture for the family-run Kimberley business, which currently has a two-acre site in Nottingham.
