CAMBRIDGESHIRE’S STROUD HILL Park, which had to close its highly-regarded restaurant last year because of staffing issues, is back up and offering top-class dining in its purpose-built barn.

The new venture will be known as Marcello's@thebarn and chef Marcello himself describes the food as Modern English (similar to the previous offering here), making as much use of fresh local produce as he can. This is so new there's not much on the campsite's website yet, but you can get a flavour for Marcello's is all about at www.marcellosilveira.com. And Marcello received a single rosette from the AA just last week.

This is also your opportunity to book early to avoid the crowds...

Stroud Hill is an Affiliated Site within the Caravan Club's network, which means you can expect high standards throughout and possible just a bit more. It's an adults-only site (and the 42-seater restaurant is also no-children). There’s also an on-site café here, with homemade cakes on the menu. For restaurant hours and bookings, call 01487 741333.

Stroud Hill Park is at Fen Road, Pidley, Cambridgeshire PE28 3DE and more details can be found here.
