It is a new month and we are back with a brand new programme, only on The Caravan Channel which, as ever, you can watch on Sky 192, Freesat 402 and live online.

In this show, Practical Caravan’s Group Editor Alastair Clements reviews the new for 2015 Swift Elegance 565. The range was only introduced in February, meaning changes for the 2015 season aren’t substantial – but that’s not to say there are none, as you’ll see as he takes you round this new van. There are three new layouts in the range, the 530, the twin-axle 630 and this four-berth 565, which has an MTPLM of 1750kg, boasts a twin fixed bed, end washroom layout, and uses Swift’s Smart HT construction. Get inside and you’ll see the new style wood grain adorning this well specced caravan, plus the big, fixed sunroof bringing lots of light and air into the 565’s living space. This van will set you back about £25,000 – to find out more about it, make sure you tune in to The Caravan Channel on Freesat 402 or Sky 192, or watch our TV show live online.

Alastair also gets inside the brand new for 2015, third generation Bailey Unicorn. He’s looking round a four-berth Cadiz, that retails for £20,745. Immediately you’ll see that the new Unicorn range is a fresh, bright white, doing away with the cream/beige of the second generation range. Inside there’s a large fridge/freezer, the fixed single beds are wider than before and the washroom is 25% bigger than in the preceding model. Get inside this new Bailey caravan only with Practical Caravan on The Caravan Channel.

We’re then joined by Rob Ganley of The Camping and Caravanning Club, reporting from the Club’s Scarborough site during National Camping and Caravanning Week. He explains why this year’s theme was cycling and speaks to TV presenter and Club President Julia Bradbury. In addition, Practical Caravan’s Gentleman Jack Bancroft talks to Bill King who has been caravanning for over 30 years. Bill’s kind enough to show us round his home from home and tells us of the changes he and his wife have made to it.

In addition, in our latest TV show we have more expert caravan advice from John Wickersham. As summer fades and we move into autumn, he considers how to ensure your van’s beds and seats are comfy, focusing on upholstery foam. Watch this segment of our show to learn about the different grades of foam and much more, to ensure your sleeping and seating areas are as comfortable as possible.

And our tow car expert Motty is back, testing a Kia Carens in this episode of our TV show. He’s putting the £25,050, 1.7 CRDi 3 Sat-Nav model through its paces. It’s a seven-seat MPV that despite its 1.7-litre engine has a decent amount of punch for towing, however it favours comfort over body control, so while stable on tow, there is room for improvement. Tune in to our TV show to find out what else this very practical tow car has to offer if you are considering what tow car to buy for your caravan holidays.
