With two new caravan reviews, a tow car test, plus a double dose of expert advice, our latest TV show on The Caravan Channel is packed with all you need to help get you into gear for the new year of touring that lies ahead. Watch on Sky 192 or Freesat 402, or live online from the comfort of your computer, at the times listed below.

If you’re looking at the new caravans for sale, what do you consider before parting with your money? If what you’re after is space, you’ll want to watch our Adria Adora 612DT Rhine review, as it is a 2.3m wide, 6.75m long six-berth. For 2015, this model gets Adria’s Golden Anniversary pack, which includes a smart set of alloy wheels and stylish ambient lighting inside. However, it won’t be this that blows you away when you step in this caravan, according Practical Caravan’s Group Editor Alastair Clements who’s reviewing this model, it’s the space. And it is a very flexible layout, great for families who don’t want to be tripping over each other on tour, plus there’s bags of storage. The kitchen does lack in the food preparation space department, but with the dinette opposite, again, there’s some flexibility, and the backlit splash-back and well sited separate oven and grill are very attractive. Come night-time, there’s a double bed at the front, two bunks in the middle and a fixed double at the rear – choose which combination of beds works best for you on your caravan holidays. All this for a little over £18,000.

Then it’s time to get some essential winter caravanning advice from expert John Wickersham. You won’t want to miss this, so make sure you tune in to our TV show on The Caravan Channel, on Sky 192, Freesat 402 or live online – look for Showcase 2. Tyre and battery care both come under the spotlight – and much more too. Let us help you keep your tourer in tip-top condition all year round in our new TV show.

When you watch our TV show, you’ll also find out what tow car potential a Mercedes-Benz C-Class estate has, when our tow car expert puts it through its paces. It’s certainly stable and secure, and, as David Motton explains, with a model like this C220 Bluetec, buyers get a good balance of speed, efficiency and price – and the handy boot and tow ball release mechanisms are sure to be welcome features on your caravan holidays. Tune in for his full review.

Then it’s time for Practical Caravan’s Test Editor Mike Le Caplain to make his debut on The Caravan Channel. He’s braving the cold to review the Hymer Nova 580, a van that oozes quality and engineering excellence, both inside and out. It has a spacious and very well lit front lounge, however Mike has a few bones to pick in the kitchen, although the dual fuel hob, the separate oven and grill, and the microwave impress. As do the Hymer’s fixed twin single beds, each a good size and with a padded headboard, a shelf, a reading light, speakers and a window, plus there’s superb under bed storage with external access. This model is one of only five Hymer caravans coming to the UK in 2015 – and this is a great option for those who tour all year round. Tune in for Mike’s full review.

Next, we’re off to the USA, joining our Group Editor Alastair Clements in Louisville, Kentucky, at the 52nd Annual National RV Show. They say that big is best in America and this is certainly in evidence here, the show and its exhibits both on a scale you just won’t see in the UK – and although a kennel for your beloved caravanning canine companion is more compact, it’s surely an example of an accessory for the person who has everything! From a retro-looking yet modern van to an apartment on wheels, there’s a lot to see at this RV show, and if watch our TV show, you can find out what a ‘toy hauler’ is.

Finally, our Motty is back, this time dispensing expert advice on outfit matching. Whether you’re new to caravanning or not, this clear explanation of the dos and don’ts, is essential viewing.
