We kick off this week’s episode of Practical Caravan TV with a review of a Coachman that’s new for 2017. Meet the twin-axle Laser 675 with its transverse island bed.

Sophisticated grey upholstery gives the lounge a classy feel and the sofas convert easily into a double bed. The kitchen feels spacious and has all the kit you’d expect from a van of this calibre, including a tower refrigerator, a microwave, an oven, a grill and a dual-fuel hob – and there’s a large sideboard and lots of worktop space.

But it’s that transverse island bed that is this Coachman caravan’s star attraction. Flanked by storage and with lockers above, plus a jazzy headboard, the bed is the centrepiece of a smart master suite. And when in night mode, this double bed is a generous 6ft 2in long.

See it and our full Coachman Laser 675 review when you tune in this week to our TV show!

Practical Caravan TV is on the Showcase TV channel, which you will find on Sky 212, on Freesat 161 and on Freeview 254 (you will need a smart TV for the latter). If you don’t have these channels, watch online from your laptop, smartphone, tablet or computer using our live stream

Here’s when to watch:

  • Monday 31 October at 8pm
  • Wednesday 2 November at 6pm
  • Friday 4 November at 4pm
  • Saturday 5 November at 8pm
  • Sunday 6 November at 6pm

Then it’s the first of two tow car reviews in this week’s show. What’s being put through its paces first? It’s the Seat Alhambra.

How does this big, heavy, seven-seat MPV perform? The engine proved strong and despite the wet conditions of our test, the Seat felt stable, composed and surprisingly grippy, even during our lane-change test. Tune in for our full review and to see the clever thinking in this car!

Another transverse island bed features in this week’s Practical Caravan TV show and it’s up next, the 2017 Lunar Lexon 560.

From the roomy rear bedroom with a bed that can extend to a huge 6ft 4in, to the lounge which benefits from a new panoramic front window, this updated-for-2017 model has a lot going for it.

See the snazzy end washroom, the new-look kitchen and what a difference that new front window makes to the lounge in the latest episode of our TV show.

Remember to tune in to Practical Caravan TV at the times listed above. We’re on Freeview 254, Freesat 161 and Sky 212, or watch live online.

Come back after the break for our Vauxhall Astra Sports Tourer review. With a powerful biturbo diesel engine producing 158bhp and 258lb ft of torque, there’s plenty of oomph, even from low revs, and it’s economical, too.

Inside, the Astra is smart, spacious and well-specced, and the boot is a good size. Watch to see why we think this is one of the best family estate cars.

Finally, join us at Barn Farm campsite. This could be a perfect place to pitch next time you visit the Peak District, as it was a finalist in our Top 100 Sites Guide 2016. And being close to four major Peak District footpaths, it’s great if you love walking holidays. There’s even an on-site sauna and sunbed, as well as the more expected facilities. Meet the owners and some of the site’s visitors on this week’s TV show.

So tune in on Sky 212, Freesat 161, Freeview 254 or click for our live stream and we hope you enjoy watching.
