This week on Practical Caravan TV, as well as tourer and tow car tests, we are off on an epic adventure – check it out on Sky 212, Freesat 161 and online

We’ve come to the end of series three of Practical Caravan TV – but we’re signing off in style with something rather special. Stay tuned!

But first, we’re reviewing the Sterling Eccles 510. And at less than 7m long and weighing just over 1400kg, it packs a lot in. It also comes in at under £20,000.

There’s a fresh, modern feel to this van both inside and out, and this is definitely apparent in the bright and comfortable lounge.

Moving back, there’s some great storage space on the nearside, opposite which is a well-appointed kitchen with a snazzy illuminated splashback.

In the rear bedroom is a fixed double bed along the nearside wall that’s over 6ft long and more than 4ft wide.

There’s also more storage and a small vanity unit and sink here. While the rear offside corner wetroom accommodates a toilet and a fully lined shower. Check it out in this week’s TV show.

Where to watch?

Practical Caravan TV is broadcast on the Showcase TV channel, which is on Sky 212 and Freesat 161. You can also watch via our live stream (a single, one-off charge of £2.99 applies).

Here’s when you can catch this week’s show:

  • Monday 10 April at 8pm;
  • Wednesday 12 April at 6pm;
  • Friday 14 April at 4pm;
  • Saturday 15 April at 6pm;
  • Sunday 16 April, Easter Day, at 6pm.

Stay tuned, as next we have a tow car test. Our expert David Motton is putting the Ford Kuga through its paces, so what tow car ability does this 178bhp diesel 4x4 variant have?

The engine is strong and the Kuga feels stable at motorway speeds. However, our ST Line test car’s suspension did make for a rather too firm and jittery ride.

Watch this week’s Practical Caravan TV show to find out what it’s like inside, what boot capacity it has and more.

Go east!

Be sure to come back after the break as we take a look around Colchester Holiday Park, which is ideally placed for visiting this historic town, as well as the Essex and Suffolk countryside.

This site is family-friendly and welcomes pets, too. Facilities include three toilet blocks, washing up and food preparation points, a laundrette, a shop, an outside playground and a dog-walk area.

It is open all year round, so you can use one of the 145 pitches any time of year. Half of those pitches are hardstanding and many have electric hook-ups.

To the Arctic!

Now, we told you we had something special for the final episode in this series of Practical Caravan TV – and here it is. And yes, we really are towing a caravan in the Arctic!

Our Niall Hampton joined Bailey on its Arctic Adventure, proving that modern caravans really can cut it in all conditions and provide cosy accommodation wherever your travels take you.

A pair of Bailey Pursuits, each towed by a Volvo XC90, took on this epic trip. You really do not want to miss this week’s show to find out how they got on!

So be sure to tune in at the times listed above, on Sky 212 or Freesat 161, or catch our live stream. We hope you enjoy it and thank you for watching this series.
