2018 Bailey reviewed
The 2018 season sees the introduction of the fourth-generation Unicorn range of Bailey caravans – note the new graphics and windows.
Step inside and you’ll notice yet more new-season updates. We’re not sure about the lack of that handy front shelf, but we like the longer sofas and the classy, new-look kitchen.
The twin-fixed-single-bed, end-washroom layout has proved popular for Bailey, so make sure you tune in to check out the changes – and the now 6’2”-long beds!
Need to seat up to eight?
It certainly showed the caravan who’s boss in our lane-change test, and with 273lb ft torque, the 2.0-litre diesel engine means the MPV has a decent turn of speed, too.
But, for most buyers, it’s that massive and very flexible interior that will probably be this vehicle’s key selling point.
To find out if that’s the case for you, watch Practical Caravan TV this week, at the times listed above, on Sky 212, Freesat 161 or live online.
It’s a small site, suited to those who prefer a back-to-basics, back-to-nature approach to their caravanning.
Set in stunning countryside, on the fringes of Salisbury Plain, there are just 30 touring pitches, all of which have electric hook-up and water points.
Plus the washblock is clean and there’s a handy on-site shop. Tune in and see it for yourself.
A new-season two-berth
Last but not least, we’ve a second caravan review in this episode.
The Xplore 422 is new to the range for 2018 and it may look small on the outside, but it feels incredibly spacious once you’re inside.
The upholstery is cheerful, storage space is plentiful and the large sofas mean you’ve got two long single beds up front – or a huge make-up double!
At the rear is an L-shaped kitchen and there’s an offside corner washroom, too, which is compact but well-specced.
Make sure you see it for yourself when you tune in to Practical Caravan TV this week!
