Amazon’s Prime Day has been around for a few years now, and as editor of Practical Caravan I’ve covered quite a few of them. There are always some good caravanning deals to be found, but there are a lot to get through – how do you know where to start?

Fortunately, we’ve done all the hard work so you don’t have to. I’ve been busy looking through Amazon’s website to find the best bargains that I think will be of interest to all caravanners, no matter what your budget and whether you’re a newbie or an old-hand.

Here I’ve identified six great products and deals that I’m seriously tempted by – and I reckon that you might be, too. Read on to find out more…

Salter EK2817 2L Compact Air Fryer
Image: Amazon

Salter EK2817 2L Compact Air Fryer was £39.99 now £33.89

Air fryers have become incredibly popular over the past couple of years; many of us have them at home, as they allow you to cook quickly, efficiently, cheaply and healthily. But they’re not just great in a domestic setting: choose a lower-wattage one and it’ll be perfect for cooking when you’re out in your tourer, too.

There are quite a few air fryer deals this Prime Day, but I was most tempted by the 15% saving on this Salter unit. It’s compact, at just two litres in size, but most importantly at 1000W it won’t consume too much power and risk tripping the onsite hook-up bollard.

Echo Auto

Echo Auto (2nd gen) was £59.99 now £39.99

If you don’t have a voice assistant in your tow car, you’ll know how frustrating it can be to have to change Bluetooth-streamed music or listen to an audio book – you’ll need to do so (safely) via manual controls, or get your passenger to help out. That’s why I reckon Amazon’s Echo Auto is a handy addition to your tow car kit: it connects via your phone and allows you to check the weather, queue up playlists and much more. In addition, if you have other Alexa/Echo devices back at home, you can operate them remotely, too. At more than 30% off, this seems like a good deal to me this Prime Day.

Jackery Explorer 100 Plus
Image: Amazon

Jackery Explorer 100 Plus was £139.99 now £89

I really like Jackery products – I have a larger power bank that’s perfect for taking on longer tours – so I was really excited to see this little unit on sale again during Prime Day. The makers claim that it will fit in your hand, yet it offers 100W of power and can be recharged quickly. If you’re planning to go off-grid, this is an ideal charger for keeping in your lockers and recharging devices when you need to.

Siegvoll Caravan Plate Holder
Image: Amazon

Siegvoll Plate Holder was £29.99 now £23.99

We’ve all been there – arriving at our campsite only to step into the caravan and find that locker contents have disgorged themselves all over the floor. When it comes to crockery, not only can it cause damage to your plates, cups and glasses, but falling kitchenware might damage your van’s worktop or units, too.

That’s where these light (80 gram) units come in. They’re made of PU foam and feature slots for multiple plates, glasses and cups, keeping everything in place (and separate) when stowed in your lockers. A special slot for cutlery also features, helping to make sure that all of your kitchen items remain safely in place when you’re on the road.

Howsehold Levelling Ramps
Image: Amazon

Howsehold Caravan Levelling Ramps was £36.99 now 28.49

Levelling chocks are one of those bits of kit that you might not think you’ll need until you end up on a sloping pitch – in which case, you’ll wish you’d invested in some when the price was right. That time could be now: I spotted these sturdy Howsehold levelling ramps at a good price on Amazon this Prime Day, and I think they might be worth a go.

For starters, they’re a good length at 60cm, and you can also raise your wheels by three different heights – 4cm, 7cm and 10cm – making them more practical than some other sets. The makers claim they are suitable for up to 2500kg of weight per unit.

Pro-Kleen Intense Waste Pipe and Tank Cleaner
Image: Amazon

Pro-Kleen Intense Waste Pipe and Tank Cleaner was £7.95 now £6.76

It’s important to keep on top of caravan pipe and water container cleanliness – otherwise you risk nasty odours that can even ruin your trip away. This is also a good time of year to give everything a good clean, particularly if you’re planning to put your tourer into storage during the colder months.

I reckon that this product from well-known brand Pro-Kleen looks like a good deal – the price is for a one-litre bottle, and it doesn’t seem as though you need to use a huge amount each time. It promises to deep-clean showers, toilets, flush tanks and more, quickly and easily.
