Leading caravan manufacturer Bailey says it now doesn’t plan to reopen its factory until at least 11 May, and possibly later still, although anyone worried about having a service done in time to maintain their warranty will have an additional four months to organise one.

The Bristol company had initially planned to reopen at the end of April, but following Government advice it will now continue to suspend all business activities until 11 May “subject to further guidance”.

“The health and wellbeing of our employees remains our main priority,” the company said in a statement.

Anyone needing to contact the company before then can still email [email protected].

The company has added that it is extending the due date of all 2020 warranty services by four months, in case customers are worried about missing the deadline.

Swift and Adria have also already announced deadline extensions on warranty services – Swift by four months and Adria by three months.
