As one who, a few years back, celebrated the same momentous birthday as your favourite magazine does in 2017, one of the more surprising outcomes of my weeks in I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! was an improvement in my health.

If you had told me I’d say that before I started my bug-eating, rice-and-bean-torturing, alcohol- and caffeine-free, calorie-limited adventure, I’d have said your thoughts were dodgy!

But here I am, many months on, still keeping off most of the two stone in weight I lost, and still not using the inhaler I’d previously used to control asthma since childhood.

It wasn’t just the personal changes I found startling, it was the relatively short time it took them to happen.

And it got me thinking and researching.

What other life changes might be possible over a short time if you had it forced upon you – or just put your mind to it?

Caravanning your way to good health

Clearly we caravanners have discovered one very important trick to keeping life in balance, and that’s to spend as much time as possible under an aluminium – or GRP – roof.

We’re already one step along the road towards better health because we get out and about, taking in the clean air as we tour our beautiful countryside with our caravans.

But there is more you can do. While bootcamps that mimic jungle hardships are one option, what’s out there in terms of knowledge to support your efforts?

Lots, as it turns out. You can make dramatic changes to your health, wealth and happiness in a surprisingly short time – using things like foods to support gut health, or mindfulness to promote mental health.

It’s time to change!

I want to share all I’ve discovered at a special exhibition and seminar, showcasing the very best from the worlds of the health, nutrition, wealth creation, mindfulness and positivity.

I’m calling it ‘Achieve’ because I reckon most people want to achieve something, and also the event hosts a stellar cast of overachievers to inspire and motivate: from Sir Ranulph Fiennes, Ruby Wax, Eddie ‘The Eagle’ Edwards and Frank Bruno to ‘Deliciously Ella’ Mills, Dale Pinnock (The Medicinal Chef), Alana Spencer (winner of The Apprentice 2016) and Sharron Davies.

I sincerely hope those attending will experience some of the same dramatic changes I did.

The event will be on 14-15 October 2017 in Bath, which is surrounded by fantastic campsites, so what better excuse to get out there in your caravan and visit this lovely part of the country?

My shameless plug over, I’ve got to go – my wheat-free, quinoa-and-mung-bean falafel has just popped out of the toaster…
