Dutch company Easy Caravanning only started producing pop-up caravans five years ago but is considering expanding its presence in the UK after the launch of its first conventional caravan.
Easy Caravanning already sells its TakeOff pop-up caravans through 3A’s Leisure in Carmarthenshire. But last month it launched the Getaway, a more conventional looking caravan (albeit with a pop-up roof), in its native market in the Netherlands, and one that should provide a straightforward car/caravan match.
And managing director Maarten de Roos said, “We are investigating future expansion, starting from model year 2026 in the UK with a potential distributor.”
Like the earlier model, the Getaway is designed very much with the electric or hybrid tow car in mind. With a shipping length of just 5.46m and a MiRO under 700kg, as well as a sloping roof line and a rounded aerodynamic shape when the roof is down, it should be a relatively easy tow for even quite lightweight cars.
Yet despite being a small caravan, it manages to include a front that can be converted into a double bed that is 2.15m long and 1.7m wide. It also includes a kitchen area and a separate washroom.
The new vehicle has gone on sale with prices starting at €27995.
