IF YOU’RE LOOKING for family fun when you’re on holiday in your caravan, here are some ideas for all ages to enjoy. There’s advice on tourist attractions that you can visit with a wheelchair or a baby buggy, too.

  • How do you fancy The Eden Project’s Little Monsters Ball on 29 and 30 October?
  • Or Thorpe Park’s Fright Nights from 25 October to 3 November (ages 13 and over).
  • Or the Twycross Zoo Spook-tacular Halloween from now until 3 November?

All these ideas and more, all year round, are listed in the Rough Guide to Accessible Britain.

The online guide features reviews of a range of accessible family attractions which are hosting a frightful range of Halloween-themed family activities this year.

EDEN PROJECT: STORYTELLING AND MONSTERS

In Cornwall, The Eden Project hosts a ‘Little Monsters Disco’ where children and adults can have spooky fun with face painting, potion workshops and dark tales from the resident storytellers.

THORPE PARK’S FRIGHT NIGHTS

Extreme thrill-seekers can enjoy the white-knuckle rides and iconic horror movie characters brought to life at Thorpe Park’s Fright Nights.

TWYCROSS ZOO’S GHOST TRAIN

If you like animals, head to Twycross Zoo in Warwickshire for Spook-tacular Halloween activities. Take a ride on the Ghost Train, join the Myths and Legends Tour which starts just before sunset or enter the Pumpkin Carving Competition.
