THE CAMPING AND Caravanning Club has confirmed that it has taken over the management of the Braithwaite Fold site in Bowness.

The site was run until the end of the 2011 season by the Caravan Club. Following the change, the site is will switch clubs from the time it first opens on 29 March 2012.

Club’s Sites Director, Bob Hill says “Cumbria is one of the country’s most popular tourist destinations and our Braithwaite Fold, Bowness-on-Windermere Club Site is in the perfect location for holidaymakers to pitch up and explore – particularly as it’s an extended season site and open until January 6, 2013.

“Occupancy levels in the Cumbria area have continuously increased over the last five years and we only expect this positive trend to continue to build in 2012.

“We’re delighted to have the opportunity to run Braithwaite Fold and we look forward to welcoming campers to what is such a beautiful site.”

The deal now means that the Camping and Caravanning Club has eight sites in the Lake District, all of which are plotted on the map below.
