The Standard Triumph Camping and Caravan Club, part of the British Leyland Association, celebrates its 50th anniversary this year. Clubs like this are an integral part of the touring community, creating opportunities through their rallies for making real friendships, for discovering new places, and for having fun. The block booking of campsite pitches for rallies very often means that club members can enjoy a weekend stay at a reduced rate.

In 1971 workers at various British Leyland factories got together to form the club and sister clubs; while factories may have closed some of the clubs have kept going through its membership. Club members can join the rallies of its sister clubs as well as its own, giving them a choice of around 200 rallies in a normal year. Celebrations for the 50th anniversary are being held at Claybrooke Magna in August and promises live entertainment as well as social events. To join the club and find out more about the rallies being held visit https://www.standardtriumphccc.co.uk. The fee is £20 for new members, it is also open to motorhome and tent owners.
