THIS CARAVAN WAS stopped by police driving along the A55 in Wales. Looking at the outfit, it’s hard to see why it attracted any attention. After all, the Vauxhall Vectra towing it is plenty big enough for the van and apparently it wasn’t speeding.

Unbelievably, the caravan was stopped because other motorists reported seeing people inside it. When stopped, 10 people clambered out of the caravan – three mothers and seven kids. In the towcar were the three dads and everyone was off to Snowdonia for a picnic.
When caravanners say they never realised that towing mirrors were mandatory or even that they didn’t realise there were restrictions on driving licence categories, I have some sympathy.
But when someone does something as idiotic as tow a caravan with their wife and kids in it across the country, it’s hard to know whether to laugh or cry.
