KIA IS UPDATING the Sorento with a range of improvements this autumn.

A new chassis, intended to improve the car’s ride and handling, is the most significant change. There are also tweaks to the exterior with LED lights, new-look bumpers and the availability of 19-inch alloys.

The cabin also gets a makeover, with soft-touch surfaces, a new LCD instrument cluster, a revised centre console and a leather-booted lever for models with an automatic transmission.

Exact details of the UK spec will be announced closer to the car’s

launch. Kia insiders have hinted that some changes to the spec will make the car more appealing to caravanners. While the old Sorento was extremely popular as a towcar, Kia is aware that the current model’s reception has been more mixed.
