This week we’ve a luxury special for you which we kick-start with the Buccaneer Clipper, a 1956kg MTPLM, four-berth, twin-axle caravan with a £30,899 price tag. It sits on a BPW chassis and features automatic hydraulic self-levelling, but it’s inside that this 8’-wide tourer really ups the ante. This is a fixed twin layout that sees the beds positioned across the width of the van, and each is over 6’ long with a padded headboard, a reading light and an overhead locker, with a bedside cabinet between the two. The well-appointed washroom only adds to the feeling of luxury in this model, this reinforced by the space on offer in the kitchen, where cooks will be pleased to see a microwave, a capacious fridge/freezer, a separate oven and grill, and a dual fuel hob. And that’s before our Group Editor Alastair Clements relaxes in the fantastic lounge, so make sure you tune in for his review to see this rather special caravan.

This episode will be shown on Monday 25 April at 8pm, on Wednesday 27 April at 5pm, and then at 7pm on Friday 29 April, Saturday 30 April and Sunday 1 May 2016. So be sure to tune in to Practical Caravan TV on Showcase, on Sky 212 and Freeview 254 (for the latter you’ll need a smart TV), or live online.

Next, it’s our Swift Conqueror 560 review. Bringing a new layout for 2016, this model has a central washroom and a plush rear master bedroom with an in-line island bed. It is generously equipped inside and out, Alde wet central heating, easy-to-access heavy duty corner steadies and alloy wheels just some of the high-end features. There’s a comfortable lounge at the front of the van while the smart kitchen is well kitted out. But it’s the central washroom, that’s flooded with natural light, that is one of this caravan’s star features – watch our review on Practical Caravan TV and see it for yourself.

Then we’ve a tow car test of a model that should be fit to pull one of these luxury tourers – step forward the Hyundai Tucson. Our Tow Car Editor David Motton is testing the top-of-the-range model, with four-wheel drive and a 182bhp/295lb ft torque diesel engine, in Premium SE spec. Can it justify its £32,695 price tag? Well, on test it certainly hauled a big, twin-axle Swift briskly and effortlessly, being composed and stable even when pushed, and its braking performance impressed, too. Tune in on Sky 212, Freeview 254 or watch live online to see what Motty makes of the Tucson.

After the break, we’re downsizing as we look at the two-berth Coachman Vision 380. With an MTPLM of 1180kg and priced at under £16,000, it’s a lot smaller than anything else we’ve considered in this luxury touring special. In fact, it’s an entry-level model, so why are we featuring it in this episode at all? Because it feels anything but entry-level. The end kitchen has ample storage, a separate oven and grill, and a dual fuel hob, while there’s also a microwave neatly hidden in a cupboard, and the side wetroom is of a usable size. With its generous, sociable lounge, watch our review to find out why this Coachman could be a great option for couples looking for a high-spec tourer without breaking the bank.

Next, we’re getting away from it all with a trip to Somerset to check out the adults-only, dog-friendly Waterrow Touring Park. This riverside site has 38 all-weather touring pitches and a pair of super pitches, nicely-landscaped grounds and facilities which include showers and toilets, a disabled wetroom, an information centre, a laundry room, a pay phone and a freezer. Watch Practical Caravan TV to find out more.

Finally, our Adria Astella 613HT Amazon review follows, which returns us to the theme of this week’s TV show, being a truly glamorous, luxury caravan. Kit levels are high, with heavy duty steadies, alloy wheels and an Al-Ko ATC trailer control system outside – that’s before you get inside. Once in this tourer, you’ll understand what a special place it is. Stylish, modern and roomy, it has a great, leather-upholstered central lounge, filled with lovely details. You get two large fixed single beds in a space that feels more like a hotel than a caravan, a chic, full width end washroom and a fabulous kitchen that, unusually, runs across the front of the van. Tune in to find out why our Group Editor thinks this four-berth Adria caravan represents great value for money.

So, go on, indulge yourself with our treat of a show. Watch Practical Caravan TV on Sky 212, Freeview 254 (if you have a smart TV) and live online, and get a taste for the touring high life.
