Cumbrian campsite Park Foot has won two accolades in the latest Loo of the Year Awards.

The washrooms at Park Foot Caravan and Camping Park near Penrith were designated diamond winners in the latest Loo of the Year awards, while the park’s cleaners won the “washroom team of the year” award.

Park director Fiona Bell, said: “Touring visitors at Park Foot often make mention of our facilities in the reviews they leave online, praising their spotless condition and well-designed layout.”

“Maintaining the facilities in tip-top condition is down to our hard working and loyal staff team, so it’s wonderful that they are sharing the limelight!”

Park Foot’s amenity building was built last year from local stone, and is warmed with underfloor heating from the park’s biomass boiler.

Park Foot has more than 500 touring pitches and holiday caravans set back from the banks of Ullswater, with access to the lake. The site is run by Fiona Bell and Barbara Allen, daughters of founder Jimmy Allen, along with Fiona’s husband Malcolm.
