Eriba caravans have a fantastic following – and we’ve just heard of a new flagship model.

The Eriba Nova S is available in three layouts. There’s the single-axle Nova S 545, plus two twin-axle variants, the Nova S 620 and the Nova S 690, plus all models in the range are winterised as standard, so they are ready for year-round touring. The first models will be on sale from mid-May, however details regarding UK availability are as yet unknown.

Practical Caravan’s own Group Editor Alastair Clements recently confessed to being smitten by an Eriba on our TV show, and perhaps the new Nova S range will have the same effect on you.

This is the second-generation Eriba Nova S, updating its predecessor which launched almost a decade ago in 2007. Outside, it’s the rear where you’ll notice some of the most pronounced changes, the Nova S taking inspiration from the automotive industry with the tailpipe-style openings for accessing the corner steadies and the sleek new LED rear light clusters, which wrap around the caravan’s corners and which are set within a redesigned rear bumper. Walk around the Nova S and you’ll also take in the standard-fit alloy wheels, which are unique to this range.

High quality materials and design features abound inside, the drawers and cabinets with sleek, integrated handles and a high-gloss finish. Buyers can choose from four interior trim options, including a faux leather which, parent company Hymer claims, is child- and pet-friendly.

In fact, we think it’s going to feel pretty special inside the new Nova S. In the living area, the ceiling will be lined in a microfibre fabric and the walls in faux leather, which will also improve sound insulation, plus Roman blinds at the windows and ambient LED lighting throughout the van are distinctive touches.

The aforementioned winterisation is thanks to all models in the new Eriba Nova S range having double-glazed PU framed windows, a 51mm-thick floor, PUAL insulation and an insulated gas locker for the living area, as well as an optional Alde hot water heater and hot water floor heater, plus frost-proof plumbing.

And if that’s piqued your interest about these caravans, don’t miss our Eriba Troll Touring 542 review which will be in the July 2016 issue of Practical Caravan, on sale 19 May.
