[tl:gallery size=230×160] “A week in June 2011 on the edge of the Brecon Beacons in what was essentially a field. No mobile signal, internet or TV, just woods for exploring and a stream for fishing. A taste of the simple life for my sons and, to this day, their favourite holiday ever.

“The best caravan holiday was 2011 when we purchased our Bailey Olympus 534 took it to Daisybank Adult only and celebrated sun for 10 days and Wlls & Kates wedding and homemade scones with cream made by the owner of the site …. unforgetfull!

Barry Coleman, Somerset [tl:gallery size=160×230]

“The best caravan holiday to date was our last outing upto The Isle of Skye touring 17 days, five stop overs, ending at Bunree, covering over 1700miles, only hick up one loose screw in oven. Two weeks spent with my wife, and our two cocker spaniels was pure Heaven.

“The best was our first (Stamford Bridge, York 1999) in an old two berth we inherited from my wife’s grandparents. Our son was less than one year old and my father-in-law modified the rear seat to become a cot. That weekend he walked for the first time.

Mark Wilcox, Bristol [tl:gallery size=230×160]

“My daughter wanted a caravanning weekend with 5 of her friends for her 16th birthday at our favourite site, Whitemead in the Forest of Dean. Her lifetime of camping and caravanning has produced another fan of our hobby. What a weekend that showed the versatility of the caravan!

Rain or shine, the smiles in this picture sum up exactly why you can’t beat a family holiday in the caravan. Despite living far away from my family, my parents’ caravan continues to bring together three generations of our family for an affordable holiday and priceless memories!

“Calloween” 2012 at Callow Top in our 1980’s Sprite Musketeer has to be our best holiday! Great entertainment, fancy dress, and everyone decorates their caravans for Halloween. Superb atmosphere and Trick or Treat for the kids – we even had Loki, our 12 month old Collie, doing werewolf impressions (see pic)

Melanie Richardson, Cornwall[tl:gallery size=230×160]

“Dusk at Burrowhayes Farm on Exmoor, way past bedtime. No-one can coax Sophie, on the right, into her bunk; certainly, not whilst it’s still light enough to scoot and chat to Daisy. The girls met two days before, forging a special friendship making this caravan holiday, the greatest.

Bliss Méditerranée. It was worth it! We towed for 771 miles to our pitch on a terrace overlooking the Mediterranean. Bliss indeed for two weeks in the sun Camping at Collioure, Cote Vermeille, Southern France. Our back garden the vinyards and mountains. Our neighbours the sandy beaches and pretty ports.
