Swift Group is adding a pair of new models to its entry-level Sprite line-up, with the announcement of the Swift Sprite Super.

This 8ft-wide range will be launched at next week’s Caravan, Camping and Motorhome Show at the NEC Birmingham and, according to Swift, “will have the widest and most spacious front parallel lounge of any caravan on the market.”

The line-up comprises two twin-axle models, the Swift Sprite Super Quattro DB and the Swift Sprite Super Quattro FB.

And you will be able to see these new vans for yourself if you’re heading to the NEC show next week.

Fixed- and bunk-bed floorplans

The newly revealed Sprite Super is 2.46m/8’1″ wide, whilst the rest of the Sprite range stands at 2.25m/7’4″ wide.

Layout-wise, both models have parallel front lounges plus a central offside dinette with wraparound seating.

Where they differ is at the rear: the Quattro DB has bunk beds, while the Quattro FB offers a fixed bed.

Other features shared by both new Swift Sprite Super models include Truma Combi 6 heating, a washroom with a separate shower cubicle, Duvalay mattresses on all fixed beds and a second wardrobe.

Both also have front lounges that can be made up into either a double bed measuring 7’4″ x 5’11” (2.25m x 1.80m) or used as two single beds each 5’11” x 2’5″ (1.80m x 0.73m).

Swift explains that its new models are in response to customers requesting more spacious caravans.

“We’ve taken our award-winning Sprite and opened it up,” says Swift Group Commercial Director Nick Page.

“Our designers responded to the brief with excellence – ingeniously increasing the width of Sprite to create an unrivalled parallel lounge with clever storage and spacious kitchen and dining area with wraparound seating for informal family meals.”

As the Swift Sprite Major 6 took the top prize at our Tourer of the Year Awards 2018, we look forward to checking out these newcomers soon.
