Camping and Caravanning Club members with mischeivous dogs can get a great break and better behaved dog with a visit to the Lakeside Certificated Site.
Site Owner Huw Jones breeds gundogs and to aid training, his five-van site near St Clears in Carmarthenshire has a full dog agility area.
Huw explained why the site has the facility, saying ‘We want to make sure everyone coming has fun, including the dogs!”
It’s not all about the pooches though. For those after a great outdoor break, the site also boasts fire pits, barbeques and picnic tables on each pitch a well-stocked fishing lake for visitors.
From the end of August, Lakeside will open a shower block and offer wildlife tours of the site for visitors.
Camping and Caravanning Club members can book a pitch at Lakeside Certificated Site by visiting www.siteseeker.co.uk
Certificated Sites are five van sites often run by private individuals or farmers and can be built without full planning permission thanks to exemption certificates granted by certain organisations such as the Caravan Club or the Camping and Caravanning Club. Only members of the group that issue the exemption certificate can stay on those sites. Site fees are usually low but facilities vary from simply fresh water and a drain to full washblocks, showers and entertainment.
