LONG-TERM Practical Caravan favourite (and host site for this April’s Reader Rally) Stowford Farm Meadows will open its satellite sales centre in South Wales on 9 April.
Stowford Caravan Centre (South Wales) is on a five-acre site that will also provide the very latest in caravan storage and workshop facilities. And in a recent development – announced on 16 March – the new centre will be stocking the 2011 models line-up of Lunar Caravans.
To celebrate the official opening, Stowford South Wales will hold a special opening weekend on 16-17 April, which will also include the opening of a brand new accessory shop.
Great location
“Strategically, this is such a great location, and it is a move we’ve been planning for over a year now,” said Stowford’s Andrew Noall. “There are already plans in place for top-quality caravan storage and full workshops, and we are contributing with a full caravan retail setup. We have two really experienced people heading up this South Wales project, so we already have the makings of a really strong team.”
They are Simon Bound, who previously ran South Wales Caravan Centre at Treorchy, and Tony Owen, whose previous roles involved working for Cardiff Caravan Centre. He is a highly experienced caravan technician.

Their new retail outlet in South Wales will carry this trademark forwards.”
Easy reach
Andrew Noall of Stowford added: “Our new location is significant – we’re just four miles from junction 34 of the M4 motorway, but we’re within easy reach of Cardiff, Bridgend, Pontypridd and the Valleys.”
“South Wales has always been an important area for Stowford Farm Meadows itself. A large proportion of tourers coming to stay with us in Devon are from this area. As well as caravan sales, we will be operating a small workshop facility under the Stowford name, and in time we hope to have a full-scale caravan accessory shop.”
Opening in April
The official opening doesn’t take place until April, but the first customers were Liz and Vince Owen. Vince is chairman of the South Wales Centre of the Caravan Club.
