  • Touring pitches: 20

The adults-only Emral Gardens Touring Caravan Park is a quiet haven in Bangor-on-Dee, near Wrexham; the site is situated in the estate of the former, 12th-century Emral Hall. Nature lovers will be in their element here, thanks to the park’s focus on conservation; it’s also the holder of a current David Bellamy Gold award. The 20 pitches here are all-weather and have 16A electric hook-up, as well as numerous other connections. A dog-walking area is another bonus.

Nearby is Emral Brook, and there’s a pond on-site: keen anglers can drop a line in either. One popular local attraction is Pontcysyllte Aqueduct, also known as the ‘stream in the sky’ – daredevils can choose to take a walk across! Plassey Retail Village and the handsome town of Wrexham are also within easy reach.
