The AA’s North-East Campsite of the Year for 2015 makes it into our Top 100 Sites Guide again this year; the park continues to provide a fantastic base for exploring everything that the North Yorkshire Moors have to offer. Scarborough is less than an hour away, while you’re also within easy reach of York and Ripon.

Golden Square is perfect for families: baby-changing units are available, while there is a room with a bath in each toilet block. Indoor and outdoor play areas will keep the little ones happy, too! The grown-ups, meanwhile, are sure to appreciate the licensed shop, launderette, microwave and motorhome service point.

Here's what you said when voting for the Top 100 Sites Guide 2016:

“The very friendly staff are always willing to help you. Its facilities were fab, including the lovely and clean shower/toilet blocks – and they always had hot water. There’s plenty for the kids to do and a very well-stocked shop with reasonable prices. We will definitely be back.”

“The owners and staff are absolutely amazing! The site is really clean, tidy and well-maintained. There’s room for children to play safely, and the facilities are fantastic. This is truly a five-star park!”

“This site is spotlessly clean and tidy. It is well laid-out with ample room per pitch. The views are stunning.”
