Last year’s Eastern England Regional Winner makes it through as a finalist again for 2017.
It continues to offer superb facilities, a warm welcome and, of course, a great location, situated as it is on Suffolk’s beautiful Heritage Coast. It’s within easy reach of Felixstowe, so makes an ideal base if you’re planning a visit to the latter, or simply want to explore all of this beautiful region.
The open-all-year site has 45 pitches, 14 of which are hardstanding; the electric hook-ups are 10A. The pitches are set on five acres of land, and there are attractive views across the surrounding open farmland.
Among the other amenities here are a tourist-information point, a washing-up point, a dog-exercise area and more. Luxury glamping pods are also available for hire.
Here's what you said when voting for the Top 100 Sites Guide:
“It is a very quiet site with no children running around. The location is in a beautiful part of Hollesley, next to a natural stream with all the wildlife that such a setting would attract. Run Cottage is exceptionally clean and well-presented.”
“The whole site is kept to a very high standard; as we drove onto the park we knew we had picked well. The cleanliness of the site and facilities was first-class. The people were friendly and helpful: just what you need when you arrive.”

Alderton Road, Hollesley, Woodbridge, IP12 3RQ
DirectionsWe are located, in Suffolk, East-Anglia, in the pretty village of Hollesley, 20 minutes south-east of Woodbridge. You can find us on the map below. Turn Right off the A12 (Ipswich-Saxmundham) at Melton onto A1152 (sp Bawdsey, Orford) within 1.5 miles turn right at roundabout onto B1083 (sp Bawdsey, Hollesley) within 0.75 miles fork left (sp Hollesley 5 Miles) (not straight on) you arrive into Hollesley on Duck corner Cross Roads.
Turn right into “The Street” continue through village down a small hill over Red brick Bridge, the site is on the left, 100 yard past the bridge. Please beware if you have a Sat Nav or are using an online route planner that it may direct you to Felixstowe. This is only a foot ferry across the river and not Car ferry. You need to go via Woodbridge.
Also If you are coming from the North Via the A14. Please don’t be tempted to come off at junction 51 ( A140) and go across country via Coddenham, as these roads are very narrow and not really suitable for caravans and large motor homes, it’s slightly longer by about 5 miles but far better to come A14 / A12 to Run Cottage
