A short walk from the popular village of Betws-y-Coed is Riverside Touring Park.
It’s part of the Morris Leisure group of sites, and is a regular finalist in our Top 100 Sites Guide.
Every year it continues to impress thanks to its combination of excellent facilities – luxury showers and toilets, Wi-Fi, a shop and a motorhome service point are among them – and tremendous location, which is ideal for exploring the Snowdonia National Park.
The pitches are set in terraces, so you never feel hemmed in by other units on the site.
Local attractions include Caernarfon Castle, Bodnant Gardens, the Snowdon Mountain Railway and the Llechwedd Slate Caverns.
“It’s always lovely, clean and tidy, and has great dog walks. You really don’t need to use the car once you are there – you can take a stroll into the village, enjoy a coffee and a mooch round the shops or walk back to the site with tasty fish and chips. I feel safe here; I can go off either with the dog or by myself and leave the husband to enjoy the peace and quiet.”
“This was our second visit. We returned because we were so impressed the first time a couple of years ago. It was good to see the same staff still there. Felt very relaxed and agree with all the rules in place.”
