We say...

Appledore Park is close to the Dartmoor National Park – as such, it’s a great place from which to explore this popular area.

Other attractions that shouldn’t be missed during your stay – and all of which are within a 30-minute drive – are the Museum of Dartmoor Life, Castle Drogo and Lydford Gorge.

Glamping is available at Appledore, in a well-equipped bell tent, or you can choose to bring your tourer or tent.

No matter which you choose, you can make use of the excellent amenities; they include washrooms with underfloor heating, free Wi-Fi, coarse fishing on the site lake, a fenced dog walk, an information point, a late-arrivals area with hook-up and water, and even an electric-vehicle charging station.

You say...

“It’s quiet, clean and with excellent facilities. It has beautiful views and is run ethically, with recycling, a provision for wildlife and local produce.”

“It’s perfect. The owners are really friendly and welcoming. We’re thinking about staying again and are recommending it to everyone we know. It’s also very reasonably priced.”

“Appledore Park is the most tranquil site I have stayed on. Peaceful, beautiful scenery, loads of wildlife, a well-stocked fishing pond, braziers for hire and really friendly staff.”
