You’ll find a 14th-century farmhouse at Dornafield, which was besieged by Roundheads during the English Civil War – today the building remains very much part of the site, and houses a licensed shop, a tourist information area and a games room.
It sits close to the park’s entrance, between the three touring fields – all of the pitches are within easy reach of the washrooms and other facilities, and are set among trees, so you’re guaranteed privacy.
Amenities include a motorhome service point, a pair of laundries and dishwashing areas, two play areas and an all-weather tennis court.
The English Riviera is on your doorstep here, while walkers and cyclists will appreciate the site’s proximity to Dartmoor – and foodies shouldn’t miss a trip to the Coppa Dolla Pub in Broadhempston.
“Beautifully kept and with friendly staff, Dornafield has the best showers we have ever encountered.”
“The pitches are big and have all the facilities you need, and the shop has all the things you may run out of.”
“It is in a beautiful area, with spacious pitches, and is immaculately maintained. The spotless washrooms have solar-powered underfloor heating, and the staff are extremely friendly at this family-owned site.”
