Bradcot

Bradford-based Bradcot’s awning line-up includes the Modul-Air, an awning you can assemble as either a porch awning or a full awning as your plans take you. The Innov-Air is a newer full awning range made of the same Tencate fabric, while the Residencia 50 is a more traditional looking awning range designed, as its name implies, for residential or seasonal pitches.

Dometic

Dometic is known for its wide range of caravan accessories including fridges (most recently the Series 10 two-way opening fridge, which already found its way into many upmarket caravans), microwaves (including a new model with an inbuilt ceramic plate that you don’t have to remove for safety when you are towing) and toilets. It extended its reach into the awnings market a couple of years ago when it took over Kampa, so the Dometic name is now used for all the caravan awnings the company produces. This year’s new models include the new Leggera Air Redux range, which are lightweight air awnings made from recycled plastic bottles. The Dometic Leggera Air 260 Redux is currently Practical Caravan’s Awning of the Year.

Isabella

Whether it’s a full, porch or an air awning, as one of the UK’s leading manufacturers of awnings for motorhomes, Isabella has a model to suit you and your van. You can find out more about Isabella’s new products for caravans on the Isabella stand, right here in Hall 4 at Van Live!

Outdoor Revolution

There’s a new lightweight range from Outdoor Revolution this year. Eden Air comprises two models at 290 and 360 widths, made of lightweight 120HDE Hex technical weatherproof fabric. With prices starting at around £499, you also get individually inflated air poles and lightweight fibreglass roof tension poles.

There’s also a new addition to the Sportlite range for this year. The 320EX includes a tall extension that can function as a storage area, or (with an optional inner tent) as a further bedroom. And in the Eclipse range, the Eclipse 380 has been redesigned with a flat front as seen on the 330 and 420 models.

Quest Leisure/Westfield

Quest imports the Westfield brand of awnings, but for 2022 it has thoroughly updated its own range of Falcon caravan awnings. Now in new colours, the pole awnings are available in four sizes from 220 to 390. The air awnings are available in the same four sizes in a 150D fabric. The 325 and 390 size come with extra roof beams, while the 390 size includes a clear sleeve on the middle beam for an optional rope LED light.

All awnings come with storm straps as standard and include a lantern hanging point and cable tidy. An optional matching windbreak is also available. Don’t miss, too, the new Eris annex available on Westfield’s Vega, Pluto and Ceres models. It includes two windows, both of which can have a verandah pole.

Trigano

This season French manufacturer Trigano has replaced its old Samoa range with the Aruba, available in a 320 and 390 size. There’s also the Guérande, a more traditional looking modular awning made of cotton, and so suitable for hotter climates.

Vango

The biggest development among awnings at Vango this season is its new Elements Proshield fabric. This has water repellent features that allows water to bead and so flow away, and also comes with ColourLok technology to slow down the rate at which UV light fades colour. With a premium luxury feel and soft handle, the fabric is now used for Vango’s Balletto 330 and 390 and Riviera 330 and 390 awnings. Vango’s traditional Tuscany range of awnings has also been extended to include a 400 and even a 500 size, also available in Proshield. Each range comes with the option of an annex made in the same fabric.
