WE'VE WRITTEN ABOUT the delights of this week's Caravan & Motorhome Show at EventCity in Manchester (from this Thursday, 23 January until Sunday, 26 January), but did you know that your ticket will also get you into another travel show at the same venue?

Incidentally, as a reader of Practical Caravan you can buy your ticket for The Caravan & Motorhome Show online for just £7.00 – simply visit the show’s website and quote ‘HAY21’. (Price on the door is £9 per adult.) And, of course, don’t forget to visit us! Practical Caravan will be at stand 2-1 (Hall 2, Stand 1). Also, for the first time, our Owner Satisfaction Survey awards ceremony is open to the public and we’d love to see you there. Follow the signs and join in from 3pm on Thursday, 23 January 2014, the opening day of the show.

Two travel shows at EventCity this week

Once you've visited the Caravan & Motorhome Show, you can use that same ticket to pop into the Destinations: The Holiday and Travel Show in the same venue (also running from Thursday, 23 January until Sunday, 26 January).

Alentejo in Portugal is one of the sponsors of Destinations: The Holiday and Travel Show in Manchester and will be offering free samples of wine, cheese and meat from this beautiful region at the show as well!

The Alentejo region of Portugal is within driving distance

You can then use your ticket to go back into the Caravan & Motorhome Show again afterwards. (Funnily enough, Destinations: The Holiday and Travel Show ticket-holders can't get into the Caravan & Motorhome Show without paying extra, so we feel especially lucky to get two shows for the price of one!)

A chance to see Julia Bradbury

TV star Julia Bradbury, President of the Camping and Caravanning Club, will visit Destinations: The Holiday and Travel Show on Saturday at 2pm to give a talk.

Destinations takes you further

Tourist boards from all over the globe will be trying to entice you to visit their countries at the Destinations: The Holiday and Travel Show. They may not be expecting questions from caravanners, so why not give them a surprise! If they don't have the answers, pop straight back to the Caravan & Motorhome Show, where there will be plenty of information about caravanning abroad and European campsites keen to persuade you to visit them.

As an added bonus, if you go to Destinations: The Holiday and Travel Show in Manchester you'll be getting to see the show before it travels to London's Earl's Court (6-9 February).
