Garmin Camper 795

Garmin Camper 795 sat-nav

A sat nav can be a crucial piece of kit for caravanners, and the new Camper range from Garmin is an impressive option for anyone who needs an upgrade. In fact, we voted the 795 the best caravan sat nav on the market at the recent Practical Caravan Awards 2024. We really like how it’s loaded with plenty of features that get you safely to your destination, factoring in your tourer’s dimensions and providing warnings of upcoming sharp turns and more. As well as that, there are numerous additions that help you get the most from your tour, such as Local Spots, which provides suggestions for where to visit in the area.

The Touring Caravan Story: Over a Century

Written by Practical Caravan’s very own contributor Andrew Jenkinson, this caravanning book is ideal for anyone interested in the history of the caravan. Published in 2022, the 160-page book details how caravanning became what it is today, starting out in 1919 when it was a ‘rich man’s pastime’ and continuing through the decades to the present day. The book features a wide selection of photos too, which are almost certain to provide a nostalgia hit.
